Why we chose a caravan, and why Aseer

Before we open our doors, we wanted to tell the beginning — because it explains every decision that came after.

The place first. High in Aseer, where fog moves between the juniper (العرعر) and the air stays cool even at the height of summer, we found a quiet patch of ground that looks onto an open horizon. We didn't want to build a hotel that hides that view behind glass. We wanted to put our guest inside the place.

That's why we chose a caravan. Only two — no more. Open the door in the morning and you meet the juniper, not a corridor; you hear silence, not a neighbour. Total privacy, and a view no one shares with you. A caravan here isn't "elegant camping" — it's one honest room in the heart of nature, made with care, with hot water, warm light, and a bed worth sleeping in.

And why Aseer? Because it's higher, cooler and greener than many expect of the Kingdom. In summer, while the heat builds below, the fog settles here on the mountains, Khawlani coffee (القهوة الخولانية) brews in the homes, and the air itself becomes a reason to travel. The season in Aseer isn't a destination we manufacture — it's a wave we simply choose to be present for.

And why so few? Because only two caravans isn't a lack of ambition — it is the ambition. We want a guest to arrive and feel the place was prepared for them alone. So we're opening the list to a limited number of founding guests this season — no discounts, no rush, just a quiet invitation to the person looking for exactly this feeling.
